Psalm 130:5: I wait for the Lord, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope.

Waiting is a process which is not so longed after or sought for. It happens when a delay happens, but for those who wait on the Lord, waiting is a blessing indeed. While you wait, hope in His word. His word is true and has stood the test of time.

The psalmist says here that he and his soul wait for the Lord. Soul is the seat of all emotions. He means to say that even his emotions are waiting on the Lord and trusting in His word. He believes the word of God or the promise of God wholeheartedly and is hoping in it for a breakthrough in his life. Many times we wonder if our promises are ever going to be fulfilled. We tend to have a negative approach towards our life and attitude, but the scripture says that those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength like an eagle, able to fly high above your situation. God’s word is yes and Amen. If He has said something to you, it will come to pass.

Against all odds, go ahead and trust God and His word. Waiting on God is worth it. Delays are not denials always. Hope in His word to come to pass in your lives, though it tarries it will surely come. Be blessed.
