Isaiah 55:8
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the LORD.
As we approach the end of this year and prepare to step into another new beginning, let us focus on the Lord’s will. For He doesn’t think like we do. He doesn’t work like we work. His thoughts are much higher and far beyond. God is love and everything about Him stems from love.
You might be entering 2022 aware of the situations and challenges around you. That is the earthly perspective. But once we have been baptised with the Lord, we were raised again with Jesus, through faith when we believed. Just as Christ Jesus is seated at the right hand of God in the heavenly realms, we too are seated in the same heavenly places because we are in Christ Jesus.
If God could give us such a magnificent spiritual privilege how much more can He do with our lives here when we live and move and breath in Christ! Verse 12 onwards states what the Lord wants to do for us. You WILL LEAVE your spiritual exile caused by sin and evil, with joy and peace. You will be led into a whole and complete life. No more thistles, no more thorn bushes, no more curse of the sin, but goodness and mercy shall follow you from now on.
This 2022, may you be a crown of beauty and a royal diadem in the Hand of your Lord. (Is.62:3) May He crown this year with His bounty and His goodness. Wherever you go, may your feet drip with the overflowing fatness that comes from the Throne of the Most High!!!
