Romans 8:37
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
All through history we hear about nations battling each other. The means to win these wars were seldom regulated, which caused a lot of human suffering. Though, today, treaties have been signed to avoid mass human destruction, wars do take place. And post-war sanctions ensure that even the “conqueror” is at a huge loss.
Only one thing is certain – there is no real “conqueror” in a war! And there is definitely no love involved when nations set out to “conquer” each other.
Yet, the Bible talks about conquering and love in the same verse!
The most extensive war wasn’t World War 1, 2 or even 3! The war that had an effect on every single human – past, present and future – was the battle on the cross. It did not involve mass bloodshed. It took the divine blood of only one person to defeat satan and his army.
Moreover, the Lord Jesus did not fight for only his countrymen. He gave his life to redeem the Jews and the Gentiles. In essence, He broke the stranglehold that sin and death had over the entire world, and drew out a battle plan for us to thwart satan’s schemes in our lives! (Ephesians 6: 10-18)
Now that is worth the title of Conquerors! The next time you feel defeated, remember the Lord Jesus has already won every battle on our behalf. We just need to walk like conquerors with faith that our King Jesus will lead us to victory!
Lord Jesus please forgive my sins. Thank you for loving me and dying on the cross to save me. Come into my heart to be my lord and savior. Help me to become the person that you want to become in every area of my life in JESUS mighty name I pray Amen 🙏 Hallelujah 🙌 praise God
All praise to JESUS such a beautiful cacophony and delightful combination of seasoned words
Thank you lord for you have already won the battle On our behalf. We praise and thank you for everything especially for being our refuge. Thank you for your blessings 🙏 Amen hallelujah 🙌
