Psalm 81:1
Sing aloud to God our strength; make a joyful shout to the God of Jacob.
God is our refuge. He delivers us from bondages that haunt and hurt us. He walks with us through the dark valleys and brings us to the light. His helping hand guides us and places us on the rock. He hears our prayers and rescues us from the bottom of the pit. He wipes our tears and brings happiness into our lives.
The Lord satisfies our needs and gives the desires of our hearts. He offers His peace during troubled times. He opens new doors and creates paths that lead us to safer places and greater heights. God comforts us in our loneliness and gives us the strength to rise up when we are cast down. He gives us His grace to endure and carry on. He breathes hope into our tired hearts.
God turns our waiting into purpose and our pain into wisdom. He establishes us even when the ground beneath us is uncertain. He speaks courage into our fears and quiets the noise within. The Lord fills empty spaces with meaning and restores our joy. He remains constant when everything else is shifting. He has eternal plans for us that include making us a part of His kingdom.
Do we need more reasons to sing unto the Lord?!
For today’s Lenten reflection, ponder anew all that the Lord Almighty has done for you and let it rise as a song of praise unto Him. Let’s sing joyfully to the Lord and shout aloud our praises to God, our strength.
