With ALL Your Heart

Jeremiah 29:12-13 – “Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.”

Have you ever called upon someone a couple of times, and when they do not respond, felt frustrated? Or when you want to share something very private, and that person does not listen? Furthermore, when you are looking for someone and you just can’t find them? These can generate so much frustration in us, right?

Our God is Not like that! He Listens! He sees all things! He knows all things! He speaks! He is faithful! “For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through Him, the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God.” (2 Corinthians 1:20 NIV).

His promise to set free the people that were captive in Babylon for 70 years was going to be fulfilled. A gracious promise, from a gracious God. A God who listens, who does everything He says He will do! A dynamic God!
He wants our prayers, our petitions, and our requests, and He says that He will listen to us. He wants us to go looking for Him, to go near Him, to spend time with Him! He is never too far! However, there is a small catch: He wants us to search for Him with ALL our hearts! “Then He will be found by us!” And then, “He will bring us back from our captivity”, whatever that captivity is! He will set us free because He is God! Amen!
