Proverbs 19:1: Better is the poor that walketh in his integrity, than he that is perverse in his lips, and is a fool.
God loves people who live in integrity of mind and character than a person who is perverse in his lips or who is bad mouthed and is a fool. To walk in integrity is what is expected of everyone, but sadly not everyone does so.
In the world that we live in, it is so challenging to live a godly life or a life that God expects of us. Even if our social and financial status does not match with the standards of this world, God would be happy if our life meets the standard or criteria that God has set for us. The world’s righteousness is like filthy rags before God. God wants us to exceed it. We cannot compromise on this one character, integrity. Joseph was a man of integrity. He lived his entire life in the fear of God. Daniel and his friends lived a life of integrity and respect for God. Job was another such character, who though he was rich never gave up his integrity when he lost everything. God exalted all these men because they pleased Him with their lives.
Let us live our life with moral principles and the quality of being honest both with God and with men. Have integrity in your personal life as well as your life at office and in relationships. Strive to the person that God wants you to be. Let our mouths always speak those things that are true and honest. Live a life that brings glory and honour to God.
