Ecclesiastes 3:1 – “For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.”
As 2015 draws to a close, we can’t help but look back at the year we’ve been through. For the most part, we’re grateful for God’s goodness and grace that led us through the year. We have all stretched and grown in various ways through the situations that God brought our way in the past twelve months. But there are also some aspects of our lives that did not work out the way we had hoped.
Perhaps a fervent prayer was never answered, or a complicated situation didn’t get resolved. Maybe a miracle you sought from God didn’t come to pass this year. Things you thought would definitely move forward this year have come to a abrupt halt. While it maybe tempting to mourn all that didn’t happen this year, it’s more beneficial to take heart and choose to believe that God knows what is best for you.
The Bible reminds us that God’s plans are far better than our own. His timing is impeccable. While you may not understand why you faced disappointments this year, you can choose to trust that God always has your best interest in mind. If He has delayed, it’s only because it’s not yet His time. Keep waiting on God and be strengthened in your faith while you wait. God will make all things beautiful in your life, in His time.
