Oh come, let us sing to the Lord! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation. Psalm 95:1(NKJV)
Here is a requirement – an open position for a worshiper, singers can apply.
Eligibility criterion: The person sings and minsters to please the Lord only. The person should be able to sing in the ‘high pitches of life’ and the ‘low pitches of life’. The person recognizes that Lord Jesus Christ is the rock of their salvation, a sure foundation even if everything around them is shaking and holds a steady note with shouts of joy. A person who trusts Lord Jesus Christ as a sure and eternal refuge and walks with integrity in private and public sphere of life. The person should be able to sing from their heart with faith in the words of the song – the word of God.
Ephesians 5:19 & Col 3:16 instruct us to sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs to God and to one another. They are commands which God intends for us to obey.
When we are saved by Lord Jesus Christ, we become a new creation. Non singers who sing in off tune and off key notes now become singers because of the forgiveness, freedom, love, grace, mercy and victory we experience from God. We sing because of nearness of God’s presence. We sing because the ways and works of the Lord are marvelous and He has dealt with us bountifully.
Let our singing reflect the nature of God who joys over His redeemed people with singing (Zephaniah 3:17)
