Abide and Bear Fruit

John 15:4 – “Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.”

2017 is the year of Rehoboth – a time to be established, enlarged and bear fruit for God’s glory. If we are to receive God’s promise for our lives this year, there is something we need to do first – abide in Him. Just as a tree cannot be established, grow or bear fruit without firm roots, our lives won’t account for much unless we remain rooted in Christ.

If you want to grow closer to God than ever before, you need to take time to nurture your relationship with Him. It’s easy to restrict God to just a few minutes of daily devotions and hasty prayers. But that will not help you bear fruit. Growth requires constant nurturing and a steady commitment on a day to day basis.

Are you expecting God to work miraculously in your life this year? Take your eyes off your end goal and place it on Jesus. When you start seeking Him more than His blessing, you will experience the fullness of His glory in your life. As you draw closer to God, you will see the Holy Spirit working actively in your life. He will establish you and take you to greater heights, and you will bear much fruit for His glory!
