John 10:10: The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy; I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
Jesus came so that we can life and life in abundance. The thief or the devil comes to steal, to kill, and destroy. We see here two powers endowed with two things. We have to make a wise choice in selecting whom we want to rule over us and what we want in our life. Of course, all of us like to live another day apart from today. Therefore, living in abundance is the wisest choice that anybody can make here.
The thief comes with an intention of stealing and killing and destroying. Jesus came with the intention of giving us life and life in abundance. What is the meaning of abundance life? The meaning is having a life of purpose, of joy, of peace, etc. These things are not sold in any supermarket. Only Jesus has promised these things in our life and since He has promised, we will surely obtain it. Try giving your life to Jesus. He will give you abundant life in exchange for it. The devil wants us to stay away from the purpose of God for our lives. He wants us to be ignorant of God’s promise and mercy. He kills us little by little by draining us with the pressure and worries of this world. Jesus on the other hand wants to give us a fresh start and a fresh life. Try Jesus.
Hand over your lives to God. He loves you so much that He was born in this world. With His birth came hope and redemption for mankind. There is love and tenderness in Him. He gives us a life of purpose and hope. Are you willing to accept this free gift?
