Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, who delights greatly in His commandments. His descendants will be mighty on earth; the generation of the upright will be blessed. Psalm 112:1-2
Do you recall the feeling of finding the keys after spending hours hunting for them? Or, the feeling when the electricity resumes after a long, slow, and motionless evening of power cut? Jesus in many ways is the lost key and the light. He is the only one through whom we can access the Kingdom of Heaven and the true light before whom, everything is revealed. Sadly, not every person has experienced the real joy of receiving the sight and the light of this true treasure. But those who have, know, what joy is theirs and what blessing follows. Those who find Jesus, cannot help but be in awe of the Savior who took our infirmities and bore our diseases. Jesus, through His life, showed us what love is and those who have experienced Jesus, have experienced God.
And God promises blessings to all those who find the Key to the Kingdom, and who wholeheartedly are committed to following this Light. Abraham greatly delighted in God’s command and the entire generation of Abraham is to date called blessed. God’s blessings are not just for the one who fears Him but His blessings are for a thousand generations that follow.
Maybe, today you are the only one from your family who follows Jesus. But take courage, for through you, the generations to follow will be blessed. Maybe you are someone ridiculed in the workplace because you are following God’s command. Continue to delight in His laws, for the harvest will be plentiful and what you do in secret, will be openly rewarded.
