Romans 8:28
“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.“
Joseph loved God and God called him for His purpose. He became the governor of Egypt at around the age of 30 and when famine hit, he was able to help his people. However, his story did not start here. His brothers sold him to Ishmalites who took him to Egypt when he was only a teenager.
Later working at a Pharaoh’s official’s house, he found favor in the eyes of his master who recognized God’s presence in Joseph’s life. And Joseph was successful at everything he did.
However, due to Potiphar’s wife’s lustful desires toward Joseph, he soon found himself falsely charged and imprisoned. God was still with Joseph in the prison. In fact, He was there with him from the very beginning and this was all just a part of His divine plan for Joseph and his family.
Many times, we question if we are in the right place in our lives. Did our choices bring us to where we are today? Well, a part of it is true. Our lives are definitely a product of the choices and decisions that we make. Nevertheless, it does not discount the fact that God has a plan for all of us. No matter what we choose, if we are in the right standing with God, everything works together for our good.
Just imagine if Joseph was never sold and taken to Egypt, he probably would have stayed with his family until the time of famine and no one in Egypt would have been able to help them. But God put Joseph in the right place, at the right time. We serve a God who is perfect in all His ways and His plans are always good.
Never doubt God’s plan even if things go wrong. Just remember, it will all work for your good in the end.
