Giving thanks to God becomes effortless when we are blessed with everything. On the other hand, in the process of waiting for a blessing, it is common to grow weary and desperate. During those times, we could be prone to negativity and question God’s timing and plan. However, the Bible declares to give thanks always for all things to God in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. How can we handle those moments?
Cultivate a habit of gratitude that transcends situational emotions. Purposefully express thanks to God in various aspects of our lives, whether big or small. Trust that God’s sovereignty extends to all aspects of our lives. Let our expressions of gratitude be a direct conversation with God. Recognise His might and His role as the ultimate source of every blessing and offer thanks to Him. Regularly expressing thanks helps shape our perspective, fostering an awareness of the positive aspects of our lives, whether in times of abundance or challenges.
God’s word repeatedly instructs us to give thanks. Obedience to this command is an act of worship. It demonstrates our submission to God’s will and our recognition of Him in our lives. Grow with a heart of gratitude!
