For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God. Ephesians 2:8 (NKJV)
There is a fun activity called, ‘Is the price right’ in which one needs to guess if the price marked on each item displayed in the game is – right, higher or lower than the actual price.
What do you think is the price of heaven or salvation?
Heaven, cannot be earned or bought. No matter how much money we have, no matter how good we are, we cannot buy Heaven. The value is incomparable. The price tag for salvation is not of this world, it is God’s price, cost Him His son – Lord Jesus Christ. And it is absolutely free!
A free gift cannot be forced. Love can be given, but cannot be forced to be returned. It’s a choice, an act of our will. God has offered, but He gives us the choice to receive Him or not.
A long time ago, the people of the world got together, and thought they could build a tower all the way up to reach Heaven. This tower is called tower of Babel and God didn’t approve it. What was man trying to do that was not right?
Both grace and faith are part of God’s free gift that He first offers. Once we have received it, salvation is ours. And because we have received it, we become new creation, good works follow because of God in us and at work in our lives!
Amazing grace that saves us!
