Psalm 30:5
His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.
In life’s journey, we may come across some nights that feel endless. We cry, we wrestle through those long hours. We wonder if the heaviness will ever lift. But Psalm 30:5 gently reminds us that sorrow is only temporary, and God’s favor and joy return with every new morning.
What a powerful promise! God’s discipline or silence may feel hard, but it’s never the end of the story. His mercy always outweighs His judgment. His love always outlasts the night.
We’ve all had those night seasons when grief, fear, or disappointment seems to camp out in our hearts. But this verse assures us that joy is already on the way. Maybe not instantly; maybe not loudly. But joy will rise, just like the sun does, faithfully and surely.
God’s favor isn’t a fleeting feeling; it’s a lifelong covering, a lasting covenant. He may allow sorrow in our lives, but He never abandons us to it. He walks us through it, with tenderness and purpose.
So, if we’re in a season of weeping, let’s hold on. The night won’t last forever. Our hearts may be aching now, but joy will come. It may not look like we expected, but it will come with healing, hope, and the reminder that God has never left our side.
The night is real, but so is the morning!
Halleluyah! Thank You my Lord that Morning is not far once the night is spent n over. During this ordeal ie NIGHT YOU HAVE BEEN WITH ME, AND EVEN NOW.
