Awesomely Fearsome

Psalm 34:9-10 “O fear the LORD, ye his saints: For there is no want to them that fear him. The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: But they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing.” KJV

The above verse brings to light two very essential revelations. The first part talks about the fear of the Lord. We as believers in Christ are instructed to call upon the Lord with fear and veneration. The ones who know Him, will fear Him. That is the magnitude of His personality.

Godly fear is not a fear in anger, but a fear in absolute reverence. The fear of God is important as it will constantly remind us to stay away from sin and continue in the path of righteousness. There is obedience in Godly fear as it invokes a desire in us to live according to His word.

The second part of the scripture is more of an encouragement to all believers. Lions are natural hunters, powerful and agile. But even they may suffer with hunger and become weak. However, the ones whose eyes are set on the Lord will never lack any good thing. When we seek God earnestly, He responds to all our needs. He takes it upon Himself to provide for us.

Let us make a commitment today, that we will seek after Him and his righteousness. People will fail us, circumstances will change, but the ones who fear the Lord and put their complete trust in Him will never be put to shame. They will receive in abundance even in the worst of times, because the God of abundance is their keeper and caretaker.

    Praise the Lord Pastor
Oh wonderful scripture it is. I was born of a fearful mother and rough illiterate father,With plenty of religious rituals etc., even after grow up as a tenager, as youngster as a graduate and teacher in college i use to fear small silly reasons. Now thank God that fear is gone after my grow up in scriptures of Bible and by grace of Lord Jesus Christ me and my households saved. Oh what privilege to serve God as volunteer as Amasiah did in 2 chronicles 17:16. Thank God for the dedicated AG international worship center, it’s my great opportunity to serve in this ministry of Good Shepard.
    Praise be God blessed day
