Let all that you do be done with love. 1 Corinthians 16:14
02 God is love and by being motivated by love we glorify and honor God. God’s love for us is perfected in Christ Jesus. Bible says in Romans 5:8, God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. And this is the love into which we are invited. Complications will inevitably arise but when love is present in all areas of your life, blessings overflow. To achieve that we must stay close to God because He teaches us what love looks like even in the worst of times.
It is easy to do everything in love when others love us but almost impossible to be loving when someone wrongs us continually. Loving others means putting away our selfish desires and to “simply get over ourselves”. If we are reluctant to do that, we need to ask ourselves the question: what are we willing to do for God and for the salvation of others?
As Paul encourages the Corinthians to be imitators of Christ and to be motivated by love and love alone, let us also encourage each other of the same. Let us examine ourselves by asking ourselves the question: Do we really love others as Christ has commanded us? There’s no doubt that everyone has come short in that regard. The good news is that we can pray and let the Spirit of God dismantle every barrier that stands in the way of loving others both unconditionally and sacrificially.
