Psalm 84:4
Blessed are those who dwell in Your house; they will still be praising You.
Remember when you went to someone’s home and felt welcome? You were received with warmth and open arms. And the more you returned to that home, the more you felt you belonged.
We feel the same when we go to our Father’s house, His sanctuary; when we “enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise” (Psalm 100:4). We enter His house to worship and to praise Him with a pure heart and clean hands. When we enter the house of the Lord, we are embraced by His presence, we feel His goodness, and the Holy Spirit manifests Himself within us and through us.
We hear His mighty voice, He restores us, we are healed in many different ways because our God is a good God. In His house, we get to experience all of His goodness with our fellow believers. “We encourage and strengthen one another” (Hebrews 10:25). God renews His mercy upon us every single morning. Love and goodness flow from Him, and He ensures that they follow us.
So, blessed are we, who dwell in His house. We are blessed by being in His presence, and we can’t help but praise Him! Hallelujah!
Prayer:
Thank you, Lord, for always receiving me with Your loving and open arms!
