Blessed when in and out

Deuteronomy 28:6:  Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out.

This is one of the many blessings that God said Israelites would experience if they obeyed the Lord.  He meant to say that every single aspect of their life would be blessed.  Where ever they go, they would be blessed.

Getting blessed or being blessed is not as hard as sustaining what we have received.  Staying constantly blessed or being consistent in staying blessed is in our hands.  If we wilfully obey God in all that we do and seek His will for us over everything in our life, then we will be blessed in our jobs, in our relationships, family, etc.  We will be blessed when we leave our house for work, when we go to a new city, when we start a new business, when we start a new fellowship, etc.  When God decides to bless us, there is no curse that can overtake us.

God has said that we shall be blessed when we come in and go out.  When we come in to our own, we will be blessed.  When we go out from our own, the outside world will be blessed too.  Wherever our presence is felt or whoever comes in contact with us will be rubbed with goodness and blessings that come out through us, through God who lives in us.  Ain’t it amazing to be a blessing to someone?  Instead of sitting around and gossiping, don’t you think it is worth spreading the Christ-like character of warmth and goodness to someone?
