But God forbid that I should boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by Whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. Galatians 6:14
We generally boast about things that have brought us great joy and satisfaction. We see how a parent is boastful of their child’s academic achievements or how a businessman is boastful of the profits he makes in his business.
Naturally, we all love to take pride in our achievements. However, the Bible tells us in Galatians that our boast should be in the LORD alone. Today, if we are anything at all, have any achievements to call our own or any goodness within us, it is only because of the work done on the cross by our dear LORD JESUS.
When we boast in GOD, we realize that all credit only actually belongs to HIM. We learn to become more humble. It is only with the power of GOD that greatness is born.
HE made way for us by raising us from the depths of the darkness into HIS everlasting light. Like the old song goes,” We once were lost, but now we are found”, for amazing grace has found us in our LORD JESUS CHRIST.
Let us make our boast in our GOD, the one who created the heavens and earth and restores everything in it. HE is faithful forever; HE IS WORTHY of all our boasts and praise. AMEN.
