Com-Passionate GOD

“But for their sake, I will remember the covenant with their ancestors whom I brought out of Egypt in the sight of the nations to be their God. I am the Lord.’” Leviticus 26:45“

Passion is a strong desire, and whatever we are passionate about, we show compassion towards the same. Our GOD is Passionate and Compassionate. He is Passionate about us, yes, HIS passion for us was evident on the cross, when HE died a painful death for our redemption. and even in that pain, he had no anger for us, but only compassion as he said “Forgive them, Lord, for they know not what they do”

We witness in the Bible, that God’s passion is such that, HE never loses an opportunity to show us how much HE loves us. when Israelites took up the exodus, HE parted the Red sea, He gave Manna from heaven, He broke the walls of Jericho, HE proved his passion at every step they took. similarly, when Israelites walked away from GOD and worshipped the idols of Baal, GOD was furious, but HIS Compassion outweighed his wrath, as we see in Isaiah 49:15 Can a woman forget her nursing child, And not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, Yet I will not forget you.

You might be going through a season of doubt, pain, anxiety, or confusion. wondering whether you will find any help at all, but always remember the GOD of the Bible, HE is passionate and compassionate about you. He will never leave you, nor forsake you. You are the apple of HIS eye.
