Luke 12:8
“Also I say to you, whoever confesses Me before men, him the Son of Man also will confess before the angels of God.“
We all know the Great Commission what Jesus gave to His disciples (Mathew 28:19-20) ” Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” This is not limited only to disciples then but even to us here and now.
We are not expected to be secret agents of Jesus. Then and now Jesus expects us to Stand Firm and know Him and make Him known. We have the privilege and responsibility to carry that message to the places where God has placed us. He has made us the beacons for His kingdom in the families and communities where we belong.
We live in a culture of ambivalence. What you don’t know is cool. It is comfortable for us to see ourselves as seekers in the process. But if we want Christ to confess us in heaven, we have to move from being a seeker to being a confessor. “If you confess me…” not “if you consider me…” Jesus says “If you are of one word with me, I will be of one word with you.”
Are we hesitant to carry this mission? If so, may God give us the zeal and willingness to obey His commands. Bible also addresses us as co-laborers with Christ. Therefore like how Jesus gave His everything to do the will of the Father, we too should follow His footsteps. Let us leave no stone unturned to accomplish all that God wills in and through our lives.
Blessed Day ahead
