Jeremiah 33:3

Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.

Prophet Jeremiah receives this word from God while being confined by Zedekiah, king of Judah, just before Babylon’s invasion. God reveals to Jeremiah that He will punish Judah but also restore them in ways that are beyond human comprehension.

We all have a few trusted people on our contact favorites list whom we call up in times of need. Yet, how many of our closest connections actually know our deepest thoughts, quiet fears, and unseen battles? But there is One who knows it all and is always accessible, our Abba Father.

Christian writer and evangelist, Corrie ten Boom, once referred to Jeremiah 33:3 as God’s private telephone number. She encouraged believers to call God with confidence anytime, reminding us, “There is no panic in Heaven! God has no problems, only plans.”

Today’s verse invites us to call on Him, for He promises to answer and reveal great and mighty things. We should always keep our direct, dedicated line of communication with God open. He longs for that intimate relationship with His children to reveal unknown mysteries and plans. Even in times of uncertainty or distress, like Jeremiah, we can rely on this dedicated line. We will be safe in the center of God’s marvelous plan.

Are you feeling stuck or uncertain in life? Call on God earnestly; He will give you the wisdom you need. Even when His response seems delayed, trust that God is still working His perfect plan for you. Whatever holds you back – sin, fear, your past, or weakness – He can redeem, restore, and strengthen you. Don’t believe the lies that keep you silent. Keep your dedicated line to God open; He will always answer.
