Eph 3:20—”Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us,”

Every night to bed with the prayer “thank you Lord for your faithfulness. Please forgive me for all my sins.” Come morning, the hurried pace to get ready and arrive on time. Traffic doesn’t help. Definitely room for stress points and reaction. “Uggghhh!” How come I never get to keep a calm demeanour like my other church family? Always calm, always smiling?

Have you thought about not doing it on your own? Have you thought about asking for help? When we try to do things on our own, for example change our bad habits, we reach a point when we feel we have hit against a wall. Why did we not take it to Jesus? “Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us”. We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us, remember?
God waits to hear from us: our joys, sorrows, worries, sins, etc. He waits to help us just as a father his child. The only difference is that our Heavenly Father gives in abundance…far more than we can think, or all that we can possibly ask, and more! He does not push us around. When we ask for help, His Spirit deeply and gently works within us.

Romans 8-11 says, “But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.” Pow!!! Talk about power. Can you fathom this? The very same Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead is ‘in’ us. God, who raised Christ, through His grace and mercy will give our bodies a renewed life in Him…an image closer to His…an identity closer to Christ. His Spirit will lead us through.
When the Spirit takes over your soul
When the Spirit takes over your soul
You will be healed and His glory revealed
When the Spirit takes over your soul
