Divine Wisdom

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. James 1:5

Who do we approach to supply for the lack in our lives? We can either run to the finite world or our infinite God. If we choose the world to replenish our lack, then we may lose our souls in the process. Friendship with the world earns hatred with God. That means we compromise on eternity with God.

Worldly wisdom is not eternal, while divine wisdom is discerning and complete in all its ways. God’s wisdom is not destructive but can create out of nothing like the creation of the whole world. We need God’s wisdom to serve the emptiness in our lives.

This verse is a reflection of God’s nature. God gives liberally and without reproach. We see God as we look at the vast universe around us. This sovereign God catches your lack and gives until it overflows. How do we approach this generous God? We need to know the lack in our lives and ask God. However, we should not ask waveringly in doubt but with authority as a child of God.

We all lack Godly wisdom, but when we ask in faith, God will generously provide us, wisdom. Today hold on to God’s word and ask God in faith for wisdom. God responds and gives without measure to fulfil your God-given purpose in life. God will replenish the lacks in your life with His abundance and make you whole.
