Isaiah 40:28 – “Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable.”

Ignorance may be bliss but knowledge is a powerful asset, as proven by countless human beings over the generations. What you know can be extremely beneficial if you use it in the right context. Today’s verse portrays the character of God, prefaced with the questions: “Have you not known? Have you not heard?”

So, what do we need to know?

• Our God is everlasting. He reigns now and for eternity.
• He is our Creator. He created the earth and every living thing on it.
• He doesn’t get tired. He’s not weak or weary.
• His understanding is unsearchable. His wisdom is beyond our comprehension.

These are truths we need to consume and bring back to mind whenever we face challenges of any kind.

Worried about what tomorrow holds? Remember, the Lord who created you has a unique purpose for your life. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. He is Lord. He can control the heavenly bodies and still pay attention to your simplest need. God has good plans for you. Even if things aren’t going as expected right now, you can be assured that God, in His great wisdom, is working things out for your good and His glory.
