Isaiah 61:7
“Instead of your shame you shall have double honor, And instead of confusion they shall rejoice in their portion. Therefore in their land they shall possess double; Everlasting joy shall be theirs.”.
God desires to bless His people. Jesus came to give us abundant life, “I have come that they may have life and that they may have it more abundantly.” (John 10:10 NKJV). God desires to enlarge our territory when we decide to walk in obedience to God’s word. No matter what you have gone through in your life God’s divine blessings and favor can turn things around. Shame, guilt, failures, or anything that has brought you down has no portion in the blessing God has in store for you.
When we walk in righteousness and holiness, we will receive the fullness of his goodness in Christ Jesus. God wants to provide for those who grieve in sorrow, to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.
JESUS IS ALIVE, so we don’t have to live in shame or guilt. If we confess our sins and repent, He will forgive us. He died on the cross for our sins so we can live in complete honor. Not just honor but double honor. He took our curse so that we can access His glorious fellowship.
Living for Christ is the most incredible honor we can ever have and the promise of everlasting life is another honor which should bring everlasting joy. Despite the circumstances and challenges we face; honor is still upon us.
