Isaiah 46:4
“Even to your old age, I am He, And even to gray hairs I will carry you! I have made, and I will bear; Even I will carry, and will deliver you.“
In Isaiah 46, God reminds children of Jacob who He is in comparison to Bel & Nebo (Idols of Babylon), they have stooped over fallen over because they are lying in the backs of carts as Cyrus carries them off to Babylon. In contrast, God reminds children of Jacob who they are, and who He is. God reminds them that they were carried and upheld by God since birth and reassures them that he would carry them and deliver them all of their days till graying years of their lives.
This promise remains for all those who belong to God’s family, those who partake in the new covenant through Christ. Our God is the God who will carry us where as what we see around is gods being carried. We were carried in His thought even before the creation to here and now and until eternity and are never alone or abandoned. We can rest in this assurance. Our God will never leave us nor forsake us, He has made us, he will bear us, he will carry us and will deliver us. Wow what a Glorious promise!!!
Lord, Thank you for this Glorious promise. When cares of our lives worries us and makes us anxious help us to remember You are there with us. You will carry us and deliver us. In Jesus name, Amen
