For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life – John 3:16

This verse brings hope to every human on this planet. This is often referred to as the golden verse of the Bible. The essence of every scripture and every message in the word of God is in the above verse.

The Love of our Father God is beyond our mental capacity. In His divine wisdom, the Father God understood that the only method to show His most precious creation, the humans, the extent of His love was to be a human. He was born in this world as Immanuel, our Savior, our Lord Jesus Christ, who came to save every human. He experienced every pain, sorrow, shame, failure, and even a brutal and shameful death on the cross.

Romans 6:23 says that “For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life “. There is no escape from this law. The consequence of sin is death. We may feel that we need to do many physical actions and works as prescribed by this world, for our salvation. But, we have a promise in this verse that brings hope to our lives.

Today, let our hearts not be troubled by the burden of our sin. We have a promise in this most powerful verse. We will not perish but will have eternal life when we believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, who is God, who came as a man to live as a human and to finally die on the cross for us.

Let this be our prayer today. Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for our sins. We want you to come into our lives and we want to ask you to become our Savior and Lord. Lord, be in control of every part of our lives. Thank you for forgiving our sins and giving us eternal life.
