Isaiah 25:1 NKJV
“O Lord, You are my God. I will exalt You, I will praise Your name, for You have done wonderful things; Your counsels of old are faithfulness and truth.”
There are so many things you could be doing right now – but the fact that you’ve chosen to read today’s devotional is proof that seeking the Lord is a priority for you. If you want to flourish in 2023, spending time in the Lord’s presence is a surefire way to make it happen.
In today’s verse, we see the prophet Isaiah exalting the Lord and praising His Name. No matter what comes your way this year, choose to exalt the Lord instead of your situation. Rather than magnifying your troubles and thinking about worst-case scenarios, magnify the Lord and focus on all the wonderful things He’s done for you in the past. The God who’s brought you this far will not forsake you now. He’s entered into 2023 with you and He will lead you through.
God will faithfully execute the plans He’s formed for you. Not one thing that He’s promised over your life will go unfulfilled. In moments when you begin to doubt and fret, take time to acknowledge God’s sovereignty over your life and boldly proclaim His promises. With the King of kings and Lord of lords in your corner, you’re sure to grow and flourish this year.
