But rejoice inasmuch as you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed. 1 Peter 4:13 (KJV)
What a glorious God we serve .A God who leads us not just in our joys but also in our sufferings. So why despair when He is always by our side.
In the above verse, the apostle is urging us to rejoice in every situation as one day all of us will be partakers of God`s blessings and will celebrate the revelation of His glory. Just like a calm comes after a storm, joy will come after suffering. In order to be able to enjoy the promises of Christ in our lives, we ought to enjoy the good and the bad, the highs and the lows, the celebration and the mourning. It is only because of His promise that the bright and sunny mornings never cease to follow the night. God has promised us that He will bless us according to the riches in Christ Jesus. Therefore we are all called for a higher purpose. A day will come when we as children of God will be the heirs and citizens of heaven. Are we ready for it? God already holds our future and it is secure in His hands. So let us celebrate in every situation and know that God is in charge of our lives and any suffering that may come along the way is just a small part of His divine plan for us.
