And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. Hebrews 11:6 (NIV)
The God who rules and reigns over all is the One who rewards those who seek Him. Let us long to seek God and find our reward in Him. Hebrews 11:6 reminds us to have faith in God.
Faith in God is having a sincere belief in Him and having the attitude that we are willing to completely submit to Him and receive the Lord as our Savior. When we put our trust in God, we intend to hand over control of our lives to Him entirely.
We can confidently approach God’s throne because faith teaches us that God blesses and reward those who seek Him diligently. As we learn more about God, our faith will more closely match his greatness. We will grow more assured in our hopes and more persuaded by the things we cannot see. Our lives will be stunning evidence of God’s existence and perfection resulting from our faith in the Lord.
When God sees faith in us, He is very pleased. Our Christian life is dependent upon faith. Faith helps us to stand, survive and thrive in this world. Faith in God during difficult times gives peace that is beyond human understanding. Faith enables us to trust God’s hand in our lives and not constantly worry in the face of uncertainty.
Genuine faith allows us to have a repentant heart and the readiness to trust and obey Him even when we do not truly comprehend the situation and its reasons.
