1 Corinthians 13:13 – “Now abide faith, hope, love, these three, but the greatest of these is love.”
It is easier to define faith and hope. The first: having complete trust in someone or something, a strong belief in God; the second: a feelling of expectation or desire for a certain thing to happen.
But how do we describe love in a sentence? We can’t. “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.” (1 Corinthians 13: 4-8).
Love directly affects another human being. More than the hope or faith I may have towards someone, the love I have towards my neighbor impacts them the most. Love is eternal, and will never cease, because God is love.
Love is the only weapon that completely destroys all evil. Love binds us to God through Christ. Jesus loved us to the point that He chose to die for us and therefore conquered death. And because of His love for us, absolutely nothing can separate us from Him: not angels, not demons, not the present, not the future, not any powers, not height, not depth, nothing in all creation. (Romans 8:38-39).
In Heaven, when we and all things become perfect, where we will see our Savior face to face, our hope and our faith will be no longer, but what will remain is love. Therefore, of these three: faith – hope – love, the greatest is love.
Amen ,thank you for your love Lord ,nobody can fill that place Lord ,that’s you and you alone Lord. Amen and Amen.
