Psalm 28:7
The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in Him, and I am helped; therefore my heart greatly rejoices, and with my song I will praise Him.
When God is our strength and shield, it becomes easy for us to focus on the security and humility that come from being under the Father’s sweet protection. This gives us the courage to live life fearlessly and safely in His care. However, today’s scripture tells us that our trust doesn’t just lead to comfort and safety. It springs up deep, expressive joy for and in the Lord.
Our mornings aren’t just blessed and safe; they become moments when we start to radiate everlasting joy with the dawn. When we truly understand the depth of what God has done for us, our worship turns from quiet gratitude into a song of praise. It is a praise that never quenches our love and adoration for God. Just like the angels in heaven sing, “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts; the whole earth is full of His glory!” (Isaiah 6:3).
As Jesus promised the Samaritan woman at the well, the joy we find in Him becomes a well within us. Through the grace of Jesus, we receive a gladness that ensures our souls will never thirst again.
Today, let’s step out with courage and a rejoicing heart. Let the certainty of God’s aid fuel a song of praise in our hearts and throughout our day. When we trust Him completely, we open the door to a life where His joy becomes our strength.
