Psalm 92:13–14 ESV

“They are planted in the house of the Lord; they flourish in the courts of our God. They still bear fruit in old age; they are ever full of sap and green.”

Psalm 92 is a song of praise for the Sabbath day. It highlights God’s goodness and the positive effects of grounding ourselves in Him. Verses 13 and 14 paint a vivid picture of spiritual development and long life. When we take root in God’s presence, His home, we don’t just get by but thrive even as we grow older.

Planting ourselves in God’s house means choosing to stay close to Him, being grounded in His Word, and dedicating time to pray, worship, and connect with other believers. A tree grows strong and tall when it’s planted in rich, well-watered soil. The same goes for us. The more we stay connected to God, the more we grow in our faith. Even as we get older, we can still be lively, productive, and energetic because God keeps us going.

To thrive and remain productive in all phases of life, anchor yourself in God’s company. Keep yourself grounded in His Scripture, engaged in His community, and aligned with His plan. You’ll prosper in His perfect plan.

Prayer:
Dear God, please help me stay rooted in You. Help me flourish and grow in You every single day. Thank You for all that You are doing and will do in my life. Amen!
