Philippians 4:6
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
‘Don’t worry,’ is a phrase we’ve heard often. However, this is easier said than done. Anxiety and worry and interrelated and have direct effects on our bodies. One of the most common being that of fear. Long term anxiety can even cause panic attacks, breathing problems, aches and pains, eating and sleeping disorders, fatigue, and the list goes on.
The Bible has a solution though. We are encouraged to set aside worry and anxious thoughts and instead pray. In fact, the Bible says be saturated in prayer. Even when you make requests to the Lord, let them be faith filled. Wrap your petitions in gratitude knowing that the Lord hears you and is faithful to answer in His time. Even when you are faced with a stressful situation, look at it as an opportunity to approach the Lord and surrender it to Him. Be confident that the Lord is aware of what you’re struggling with. That is exactly why He says in 1 Peter 5:7 “cast ALL your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.”
There is nothing that you are battling that you cannot give to the Lord. Absolutely nothing! And when you give it to the Lord, give it to Him completely. Don’t go take it back. Learn to continually say, to profess as in Psalm 68:19, “Praise be to the Lord, to God my Saviour, Who daily bears my burdens for me.” So beloved, (Psalm 31:24) cheer up, be strong, don’t give up. Wait for Him to breakthrough for you!
There is nothing that you are battling that you cannot give to the Lord. Absolutely nothing! And when you give it to the Lord, give it to Him completely. Don’t go take it back.
