Glorious and Majestic Beings

Philippians 3:21

Who will transform our lowly body to be like His glorious body, by the power that enables Him even to subject all things to Himself.

Christians are all looking forward to Christ Jesus’ return a second time, just as He promised. This particular verse tells us what we can expect when Jesus comes.

Our current physical bodies have limitations of its own. There were magnificent things Christ Jesus did when He was alive and even more amazing things after His resurrection. In fact, Jesus has given us a marvellous promise in John 14:12. That any of us who believes and has unwavering faith in Him, will not just do the miracles that He did, but even greater miracles. What an absolute wonder!!! He has given us the authority and ability to do EVEN GREATER things than Him!!! We should be looking forward to walking on water, multiplying bread, creating an ear from clay, transfiguration, and all else that Jesus did!

While this is the privilege we have now, there are grander things when He comes again. By the power of the Holy Spirit, the properties of our current bodies will INSTANTLY change. We will be able to be caught up mid-air. That’s when we will be completely whole with Christ. After Jesus’ resurrection, there were no physical barriers that could sustain against Him. Luke 24 tells us He could appear and vanish just like that. This is no sci-fi but Jesus Christ lifestyle!

When Jesus said that He came to give us life and life in abundance, He was not kidding. An abundant life is exactly what we can experience even today! Let us ask Him to increase our faith and may we allow the Holy Spirit to move in our lives.

May we look forward to walking on water, multiplying bread, creating an ear from clay, transfiguration, and all else that Jesus did!
