Isaiah 65:24 NKJV
“It shall come to pass that before they call, I will answer; and while they are still speaking, I will hear.”
Isaiah 65:24 gives us hope that God is working the ground before us, answering our prayers even before we pray. He sees our requests and knows their urgency before we can ask verbally. He loves us so much that before we can put an arrow to our request, He is already working for us.
Think about the times someone knew what you needed without you saying a word – maybe a friend who knows you need help or a loved one who knows you are upset. It’s that sort of relationship God has with us. He knows us intimately and understands our needs even before we express them.
As a parent who cooks dinner for a child before they even ask, God is already working toward a solution on our behalf. There isn’t always the need to spell it out in meticulous detail, but we do need to present our requests to the Lord. Again, big or small, God already knows, and truly answers even before we ask.
God promises an answer before we can call out to Him, but sometimes, it takes a while for Him to respond, and His responses may be unexpected. We should learn to trust His timing and know that in the waiting, He is already working for us.
So, when you are uncertain or hesitant to pray, remember that God is at work. You don’t need to find the right words; just approach Him, knowing that He is already working in your life.
Prayer: Lord, thank You for always hearing my prayers before I even speak them. Help me to trust that You are already working on my behalf and that Your timing is perfect. Amen.
