1 Corinthians 1:9 – “God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.”

As 2016 draws to a close, it’s good to look back and take stock of how far you’ve come. What are you happy to have accomplished this year? What were you most disappointed about? What are the lessons you learned over the past 12 months? Even if you don’t see it, you have grown and matured since January. Every situation you’ve walked through, good and bad, has left an impact on you.

Before you wind up the year, recount what you are most thankful to God for. If not for His grace and favor, you would not have made it this far. While you may have faced varied struggles along the way, God never left your side. Even if you may have ignored Him at times, His love for you never wavered.

It is the faithfulness of God that has brought you through 366 days, and that’s something you can always be grateful for. God will never leave you or forsake you – that’s His promise for you. As you prepare to enter another new year, recommit your life to God. You will never regret a life spent at His feet.
