The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing. Psalm 34:10 (KJV)
The first part of the above verse talks about a young lion who is symbolic of a person who is reckless, self-confident and careless. He tries to do things through his own strength and does not depend on God. Therefore, he lacks food at times and suffers from hunger.
The second part of the verse goes on to say that those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing. This very clearly states that the ones who trust in the Lord and call upon His name will never lack any good thing as they do not depend on themselves, but on the God Almighty who is our shepherd and our provider.
It is wise to depend and rely on God at all times especially now when the whole world is facing uncertainties and going through rough times. God is the God of knowledge and wisdom. He is the hope in hopelessness. We have a choice to make. We can either stagger in our lives and perish, or cry out to the Lord and seek help. God always shows up. He will lift you up and raise the standard of your life. He has never failed and never will. God calls Himself our Shepherd. When we give Him full control, we will lack nothing good because all good things come only from Him. Let us improve the quality of our lives by placing God in the center of everything.
