Psalm 139:17-18 – “How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee.”
It’s a great feeling to know that someone’s thinking of you. That is why personal greeting cards, letters, emails and even texts make us feel special. On the other hand, when we haven’t heard from someone in a long time, we assume they’ve forgotten about us. When we face difficult circumstances, unanswered prayers, and major roadblocks, we might be tempted to think that God has also forgotten about us. But the Bible tells us differently.
God thinks of us all the time. In the verses above, King David says God’s thoughts about him outnumber the grains of sand. God thinks about you because you are His precious child. Jeremiah 29:11 says God thinks thoughts of peace towards you. God has amazing plans for your life.
Just as an earthly father would want His child to come up in life, God wants to see you grow and prosper. While your friends and family may fall short, God always gives you an abundance of what you need, just when you need it. If you’re feeling lonely and forgotten, be encouraged that God is thinking of you right this minute. Talk to Him and allow His love to wash over you and fill you with His perfect peace.
