God Will Reward You

Psalm 18:20 – “The Lord rewarded me according to my righteousness; According to the cleanness of my hands He has recompensed me.”

This psalm was written by Kind David when the Lord delivered him from the hand of all his enemies, and from the hand of Saul who sought to kill him. Although David had an opportunity to take Saul’s life, he never did. David honored Saul as a man who was anointed by God and did not try to take matters into his own hands. He let the Lord deal with Saul as He saw best.

How many times have you been treated unfairly in your life? Have you been tempted to take vengeance and give people a dose of their own medicine? It’s tempting to react in anger and treat people the way they deserve. But the Lord says, “Vengeance is mine; I will repay” (Romans 12:19). Let God work on Your behalf… He is on your side.

The Lord Jesus looks at your heart. What is your response when people are mean to you? You can still treat them with respect and kindness, knowing that the Lord knows the wrong done to you. He will repay each person according to what they have done. When you act like His child and obey Him, God will reward you. God sees. God knows, God understands. He will work it all out for your good and His glory.
