God’s Angels at Work

Psalm 91:11-12 – “For He shall give His angels charge over you, to Keep you in all your ways. In their hands they shall bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone.”

“God will put His angels in charge of you to protect you wherever you go.  They will hold you up with their hands to keep you from hurting your feet on stones.” (GNT)

However, there is a condition we should not miss: “ ’If’ you make the Most High your dwelling – even the Lord who is my refuge – then no harm will befall you, no disaster will come near your tent.” (Psalm 91:9-10).

“He guards the steps of His faithful ones, but the wicked perish in darkness; for by his own strength shall no man prevail.” (1 Samuel 2:9).  So, the protection of God’s angels are not available to all men.

But for us who believe and who have made the Most High our dwelling, it is comforting and encouraging to know that we are under the divine protection of God’s angels, whom He sends to deliver us from harm, at His command.

“No king is saved by His vast army, no warrior is delivered by his great strength.” (Psalm 33:16).  Because it is “not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, saith the Lord of Hosts.” (Zechariah 4:6).

And if trouble or hurt may come, know that the Lord is with you and will go through the valley with you, that He is in control, that He is the One who fights for you, who delivers you from evil. You who “dwell in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. And you will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God in whom I trust.”” (Psalm 91:1-2).  Amen!
