Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. 1 Chronicles 16:34
Mercy is defined as a kind or forgiving attitude toward someone that you have the right to punish. Mercy is often undeserved.
This verse is a part of a prayer that King David taught his people after they brought the Ark of the Covenant. The Ark of the covenant was a physical reminder to God’s people about God’s mercies to them. God’s mercy is not bound by time. It endures forever. We can experience the mercy of the Lord Jesus Christ every day.
The experiences in our lives may have led us to believe that we are unworthy of mercy. Some may have never received any kind of mercy from anyone
Remember, that the Lord Jesus Christ is ready to give you His mercies that are eternal. He can put our past behind us and cancel it. We can get a second chance due to His mercies
Today is the day that we can experience the mercies of the Lord Jesus Christ in our lives. Let us ask the Lord Jesus Christ to come into our lives and fill us with His mercies. Once we experience His mercies, we will have nothing but to say
‘Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever’
