God’s Strength, Not Man’s

1 Samuel 2:9 – “He will keep the feet of his saints, and the wicked shall be silent in darkness; for by strength shall no man prevail.”

Each of us has our own strengths and weaknesses. For example, a gym enthusiast might be exceptional in the fitness department but not great at handling money. A confident leader who’s good at decision making might have trouble with relationships. You might be exceptionally good in some areas of your life but might be struggling in other areas.

The good news is that we don’t have to rely on our own strengths to live our lives well. In today’s verse, we are reminded that God will keep the feet of those who are faithful to Him. We cannot succeed on our own; we need the Lord’s strength to excel. God promises to go before His children and lead us onward. He will guide your steps if you put your trust in Him.

If you feel your weaknesses are pulling you down, don’t despair. 2 Corinthians 12:9 tells us that our weaknesses are the perfect platform for God’s strength to shine through. Don’t worry about how you’re going to make it through today, next week, next year… You are a child of God; you are in His hands. He will perfect everything that concerns you. Leave your worries in God’s capable hands, and trust that He will lead you through.
