Psalms 147:3

He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.

When people hurt us or when we experience seasons of loss, we often run – seeking answers, searching for comfort, or even rebelling because of the weight of our pain. In those moments, we turn to human wisdom, distractions, or our own limited understanding. Yet something still feels missing, and we can feel an emptiness in our hearts.

We often overlook a simple truth: the One who created us knows us completely. He sees every hidden wound, every silent ache, and every broken place within us. He knows exactly what needs healing. Psalm 51:17 says, “The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, You will not despise.”

God doesn’t just ease our pain for a moment – He restores us. He doesn’t simply cover our wounds; He also carefully binds them with compassion, and brings true and lasting wholeness. His healing goes deeper than what others can see. It reaches the very core of our hearts as He renews us from the inside out.

Today’s verse offers us a gentle but powerful assurance: God offers us His healing. Jesus is willing and able to mend every broken place in our lives, no matter how deep or hidden the wounds may be.

So let’s ask ourselves: Do we choose Him over every other voice around us? Do we trust His process of healing instead of relying only on human understanding? Today, let us turn to Him, the true Healer, and allow His restoring love to make us whole again. Because in Him, we are safe.
