Proverbs 16:9 “A man’s heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps.”
The above verse reaffirms the fact that God is in control of our lives and that He has the best plans for us. Throughout the Holy Bible, we see the Lord directing the steps of the ones who call upon His name and lead them into a bright and promising future.
One of the finest examples of His divine guidance is when He led the Israelites from Egypt, and out the wilderness into the promised land. The Israelites may have had plans of their own, but ultimately it was God’s plan that took course.
Even though we all have the ability to make our own plans, the Lord has the final say. Does this mean that we should not make any plans and leave everything to God? Absolutely not. Our God is very thoughtful about our wants and desires. He has given us the right to make plans. However, every plan that we make should be done in consultation with Him. Any plan that is made out of His will and purpose for us will definitely fail.
Our future has already been predestined and preordained by Him even before we came into this world. We can be rest assured that He has the best plans for us. It is us who delay His promises by taking wrong decisions and making bad choices.
Let us make a commitment today, to submit all our plans unto Him and wait patiently for His holy guidance. He will direct our steps in the right path and lead us into a promising future.
