Psalms 27:4
“One thing I have desired of the Lord, that will I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in His temple.”
Today’s verse from the Holy Bible encourages us to seek after the Lord and desire to dwell in His presence. It urges us to develop a meaningful and long-lasting relationship with our Creator.
To seek God, first, we must know Him. The only way to know Him is by spending time with Him, reading and learning from His Word. God reveals Himself to those who seek Him earnestly. He desires to be in our company. He wants to be involved in our daily affairs and enjoys blessing us. When we know the true nature of our God, we cannot help but praise Him. His loving and generous nature makes it easy to worship Him.
As we praise God and call on His presence, it creates an atmosphere for Him to operate and take complete control. When did you last spend time in God’s presence? If it has been a while, then maybe God is speaking to you today, asking you to just spend some precious moments in His presence. It is in His mighty presence that we win our battles and overcome our fears.
Prayer: Dear Lord, I want to live a life singing praises to You. I desire to dwell in You always. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
