Joy Will Have The Final Say

Psalm 30:5
For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.”

Some of us today may be going through or be in a difficult season of life. Some of us may be facing wild heights only to catapult in an entirely new direction.

The phrase comes from one of the many psalms penned by David, who understood how quickly life could change. From a simple shepherd to the famed slayer of the giant Goliath, from beloved by the king to the target of that same ruler’s mad, murderous jealousy. He knew deep despair and fervent bliss, sometimes in the very same season.

This psalm is a psalm of gratitude. David intentionally redirects his focus to GOD who is our strength. GOD gives us strength not only to go through the difficult seasons of life but He is our Rock where we can take refuge.

“Joy comes in the morning”, is a statement and a reality for everyone who believes in the Name of Jesus. It is the promise of God, that sorrow, will not have the last word in your life, sickness, diseases, failure, depression, loneliness, or anything that has taken away your peace, will not have the last word in your life. JESUS will have the final say and His word say’s “Joy comes in the Morning”.

Isaiah 43:2 tells us that “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you”.

True joy comes only from God, it’s a gift from Him. He is the only one that can enter our pain to give us everlasting joy.
