Let God Guide You

Psalm 37:23 NKJV

“The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and He delights in his way.”

Whenever we visit a new place, we rely on Google Maps or we stop and ask someone for directions. The guidance we receive usually helps us reach our destination faster with less hassle. Our spiritual walk is no different. We have the Holy Spirit as our constant guide and companion, but it’s up to us to heed His guidance.

In today’s verse, the Psalmist lays out an important principle. When our steps are ordered by the Lord, He blesses our path. The next verse goes on to say that even if we stumble, we will not fall because the Lord upholds us with His hand (Psalm 37:24). What a privilege it is to have the Lord holding our hand as He leads us forward!

Are you at a crossroads in your life? Take your impending decision to the Lord in prayer. He will guide you. He may speak to you through His Word, a still small voice in your heart, or through godly mentors. Be attentive to hear from Him, and He will lead you. When you let God guide you, He will pave the way before you and be with you through all the ups and downs that may come your way.

Prayer: Lord, thank You for guiding me this far by Your grace. Help me discern Your leading and follow the path You’ve laid out for me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
